I knew the station might become a different place as iciness set in. throughout summer season, the environment turned into energetic, there has been lots of socialising and plenty of splendid people to fulfill on each the Australian and international stations. but almost one hundred of the expeditioners would leave in iciness, leaving simply 18 of us to keep the station jogging.

The cold does terrible things on your body. one day I went out to test on some device and had to trip with my visor helmet up. It became so cold, I vomited. I had an “ice-cream” headache for 8 hours, pain in my hands and burst blood vessels in my eyes.
